How to include your pets on your wedding day!
Oh hello there!
As primarily a stationery company you would think my first blog post would be about stationery, and only stationery! Well, it includes SOME stationery, but because I love my fur child, Copper, so incredibly much, and making him a part of our wedding day was really important to me, I wanted to share fun ways to include your pets!
Personally, the BEST way to include your pet on your wedding day is for them to actually be with you on your day! My husband and I had the true pleasure of living in a hotel during our wedding week (oh it was a fantastic time…*cue the hard eye roll*), while we waited for our new house to be built. We made the best of the situation we were in, and because of it our dog was able to spend the morning getting ready with us!
When I went back to our room to put my wedding dress on I was greeted by my best boy!
If you can’t physically bring your pet with you to your wedding another really popular way to include your pet is through a signature cocktail sign! Wedding guests love a signature cocktail or mocktail, especially if it’s one of you and your partners favorite drinks. The sweetest way to add your beloved pet, is to name a drink after them and include their picture on a fun custom sign!
As you can probably tell, my husband and I included Copper in our wedding day as much as possible. A surprise gift to him, was a pair of socks for him to wear on our wedding day with Copper’s face all over them.. let me tell you, they were a big hit! I purchased them on Etsy, but there are a ton of other places you can purchase them too!
My final way to include your pets, a Biscuit Bar! Most of our friends and family also are avid dog lovers and owners, so we opted to set up a biscuit bar in honor of Copper and his friends not being able to actually be at the reception with us (though that would be a TOTAL dream!) We used the same image from our signature cocktail and I created a little sign with a cute quote noting everyone to take some treats home to the furry friends that couldn’t make it to the “Pawty!” It was such a big hit, and I received so many compliments on it, definitely something I recommend everyone doing!
